shockwaves.

I've been experiencing technical difficulties lately.
So it's been a while.
And here I am, stuck at my mom's work at ms. val's desk, with nothing to do.

"Shocking occurences become less shocking when they happen everyday."
Is that why we have become so immune to what was once cultural taboo?
Violence, Language, and Sex getting bolder in movies and music.
Because we've grown immune to it? As if its some sort of medicine we've built up a tolerence to.
Is there anyway to regress, or will things spiral out of control to such an extent that lives become boring because there's no further we can take dirty jokes? What a puzzling possibility.

My Happiness

This is how I try to live my life:

"HAPPINESS IS FINDING A PENCIL.
PIZZA WITH SAUSAGE
TELLING THE TIME.
HAPPINESS IS LEARNING TO WHISTLE.
TYING YOUR SHOE FOR THE VERY FIRST TIME.
HAPPINESS IS PLAYING THE DRUM IN YOUR OWN SCHOOL BAND.
AND HAPPINESS IS WALKING HAND IN HAND.
HAPPINESS IS TWO KINDS OF ICE CREAM.
KNOWING A SECRET.
CLIMBING A TREE.
HAPPINESS IS FIVE DIFFERENT CRAYONS.
CATCHING A FIREFLY.
SETTING HIM FREE.
HAPPINESS IS BEING ALONE EVERY NOW AND THEN.
AND HAPPINESS IS COMING HOME AGAIN.
HAPPINESS IS MORNING AND EVENING,
DAY TIME AND NIGHT TIME TOO.
FOR HAPPINESS IS ANYONE AND ANYTHING AT ALL
THAT'S LOVED BY YOU.
HAPPINESS IS HAVING A SISTER.
SHARING A SANDWICH.
GETTING ALONG.
HAPPINESS IS SINGING TOGETHER WHEN DAY IS THROUGH,
AND HAPPINESS IS THOSE WHO SING WITH YOU.
HAPPINESS IS MORNING AND EVENING,
DAYTIME AND NIGHTTIME TOO.
FOR HAPPINESS IS ANYONE AND ANYTHING AT ALL
THAT'S LOVED BY YOU."

Always appreciate the little things.
No matter what.

It helps me too be a happier person. Nothing is ever completely perfect but loving the little things helps with positivity I think.

Right now I'm going to go love me some dinner though.

Let's make a change we won't regret in 20 years

Is that possible?
With a humans option of free will and therefore constant option of error, can we really make a change we won't regret in 20 years?
Today in honor of the election I will do a political post.
As if we had't heard enough about politics.
Maybe I should be president, since it seems like anyone can run.
Maybe no one should be president and the country should be run by council.
I think it's very appropriate that the faces on our currency are our past presidents, because mirroring real life the actual president doesn't do much. It's what the president represents that's really worth something.

After tonight our country's mentality will completely change.
Whether McCain or Obama is elected.
I don't think either would neccessarily a positive change.
I personally prefer Obama, but i'm afraid that if/when he's elected he won't have the guts to make changes that people will hate him for. McCain probably would be able since he's going to die of neurojudochickenitis before people would even know, leaving us with parah salin as our interim.
What a great prospect right?
hah.

So I have no choice but to follow my own advice; at church on sunday we were asked to, in three words, write how had God had worked in our lives that week.
Peace
in Blind
Faith
I will draw my peace about this country's future by putting it entirely in God's hands.
He will always take care of us, and I have faith that he will put who he wants in charge of our country.
What good does it do to worry anyway?

Until the world changes,
Mary
